Before joining the University of Kentucky, I completed a PhD in Communication at the University of Miami, a Master of Science in Communication, Management & Health at the Universita’ della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland), and one in Business Administration with concentration in Marketing at Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA, USA). I completed my undergraduate degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication at IULM (Milan, Italy).

Research Assistant for the Health4U project: "Going beyond awareness raising: a mobile Phone SMS-based intervention to encourage uptake of HIV testing amongst African communities in Nottingham". The focus of this project was the development of a community-based social marketing campaign to determine whether a mobile phone based SMS text-messaging social marketing initiative could increase uptake of HIV testing among African communities in Nottingham, United Kingdom. The project was done in collaboration with the School of Health Sciences of the University of Nottingham (UK).
Research Project Manager for the evaluation of the program Ever:Fresh, a Social Marketing Peer-to-Peer program in Ticino (Switzerland) to prevent teenagers from using tobacco.
Research Assistant for the project MyTAMINO, a qualitative study aimed to understand patient needs and preferences about chemotherapy administration for cancer treatment in Ticino, Switzerland. In collaboration with EOC (Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale).
Research Assistant for the project SOPHYA: The Swiss National Objective Study of Physical Activity in Youth, done in collaboration with the University of Basel and the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). The aim of this project was to collect objective measurement of the physical activity levels of children and parents in Switzerland. The project included a representative sample of Swiss school children aged 6-14 years and living in the German-, French- and Italian speaking Switzerland.
